Hawaii Senior Life Enrichment Association (HISLEA) proudly presents “Rainbow for Japan Kids Charity Talk Live” at Hawaii Convention Center featuring Japan-based renowned musicians Muneyuki Sato and Taizo Koshiba and from Hawaii, Manoa DNA a local father and sons trio along with pianist
Chiyo Flynn, also children from Tohoku will sing together with local children.
This Charity Talk Live is part of the “Rainbow for Japan Kids (RFJK)” project sponsored by Japan-America Society of Hawaii, Japan Airlines, First Hawaiian Bank, and Studio Rim Hawaii. It is an educational program designed for the continuous support for children affected in the earthquake and tsunami ravaged regions in Tohoku (northeastern Japan), teamed with “Miyagi Bikki no Kai,” a Tohoku-based non-profit organization founded by musician and TV personality, Muneyuki Sato.
Through this project, children from the affected areas come to Hawaii for physical and spiritual relief. The proceeds from this Talk Live will go to Japan-America Society of Hawaii to support RFJK project.
Doors open at 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 25th. Refreshments, CDs and Raffle tickets (5 for $20.00) will be available at that time. A Silent auction will be held, to include an autographed Ukulele by Jake Shimabukuro.
