All Author’s Royalties From Charley Memminger’s Novel Will Be Donated to Hawaiian Humane Society

Author and screenwriter Charley Memminger will be signing copies of the paperback edition of his novel “Aloha, Lady Blue (The Mystery of Kahala Road)” at Costco Hawaii Kai at noon on Saturday, March 19.

Memminger has pledged all of his author’s royalties to the Hawaiian Humane Society.

“We’re excited to get the books into all the Costcos in Hawaii and that Costco Hawaii Kai will host a book signing this Saturday,” Memminger said. “It’s rare that Costco hosts book signings so we are honored to get such great support from one of the state’s leading retail outlets. I hope people will come to the signing and help make ‘Aloha, Lady Blue’ one of the best selling locally written novels of all time. And all for a great cause!”

Memminger has had a long relationship with the Humane Society, from emceeing the opening of its dog park in Waialae to adopting family pets.

“There are so many worthy nonprofits in Hawaii it’s hard to single out one to help,” he said. “But the Humane Society is close to my heart because it does so many important things in the community, including helping shut down puppy mills, sheltering lost pets, rescuing animals in distress and providing spay/neuter services. It’s a privilege to have the Humane Society partner with us and we hope the sale of the book provides it a steady stream of support for many years.”
