“May Day Waikiki – Beach Boys, Memories and Music” is a free event and will include a commemorative program that celebrates the history and tradition of “Lei Day” in Hawaii. Lei will be the overall symbol of this multi-tiered showcase honoring past souls who have lived, worked and visited in Waikiki.
The program will include a special homage to the Waikiki Beach Boys; a Kahu led all-faiths service remembering those who call Waikiki Beach their final resting place; and conclude with a 90-minute concert by best-selling Hawaiian female group Na Leo Pilimehana who will perform on a custom stage right on Waikiki Beach fronting The Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
