Aloha Market Friend!
"Never doubt that a small group of committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has." -Margaret Mead
We apologize for any confusion that may have brought you to the North Shore on Sunday expecting to shop at the Hale'iwa Farmers' Market. We did not hear of the Governor's closing of our site until the press called us Friday afternoon making it nearly impossible to get the word out to our satisfaction.
As for HFM, although it is temporarily closed, we are fully committed to to our search for a new home. Our vendor family adores HFM, and we are extremely motivated to re-open so they can continue to pay their bills and feed their families. The North Shore community has come to depend on the market as part of its' weekly Sunday ritual, where they can share time and aloha with neighbors and visitors, enjoy a bite to eat, and talk story with their farmers while filling bags with fresh local produce. We hope our continued efforts will show results soon, so we can all get back on track and enjoy our new home.
Your commitment to our farmers is extremely important . We are OPEN and ready serve you at both Ala Moana and Hawai'i Kai Farmers' Markets this Saturday! We hope you will come and bring a friend, to support those hard working farmers who feed us all. You may even see a few familiar face from HFM at AMFM! We have invited some of the farmers to come and we invite our North Shore friends to pay a visit to the city... we will welcome you with open arms!
If you have never stated the awesome goodness of pasture-raised eggs, you are seriously missing out! Be sure to pick some up at AMFM this Saturday!
