“R Style Social” (#RStyle) brings to life the latest holiday fashions from Royal Hawaiian Center’s R Magazine. Models, styled similarly to the R Magazine features, will showcase the outfits and accessories at participating stores during a two-hour open house event.  Guests are invited to pick up the new issue of R Magazine along with an R Socialite Pass at the check-in between bebe and The Apple Store on level 1 of Building C. The first 200 customers will receive a complimentary Royal Hawaiian Center water bottle or vanity bag.  Visit each of the participating shops and boutiques to receive R Socialite Pass stamps. Completed passes may be turned in at the end of the night to enter a drawing to win the grand prize of a $500 Royal Hawaiian Center gift card or a $250 gift card. No purchase is necessary to receive stamps. Drinks will be provided at each of the following stores.

Families, keiki and shoppers can pick up a paintbrush, demonstrate their artistic talents and help Ward Centers paint a piece of Kaka`ako. The fourth annual August Moon is a chance for guests to taste wines from more than 30 winemakers, graze on small plates from top food venues, and buy art—all to help bring arts education to Hawai‘i’s children.

HONOLULU’S 66 year-old Aloha Festivals is the oldest and largest Hawaiian cultural celebration in the United States. What is known today as Aloha Festivals was created in 1946, as Aloha Week - a cultural celebration of Hawai'i’s music, dance and history intended to perpetuate our unique traditions. A group of former Jaycees - known as the Jaycees Old-timers of Hawai'i - had the vision to create a public celebration to honor Hawai'i’s cosmopolitan heritage, yet created a celebration which has itself become a state-wide tradition.

Aloha Week became Aloha Festivals in 1991. Aloha Festivals has become a celebration of our Hawaiian culture. Integrated into the culture are many island traditions and customs of each of the Hawaiian islands.
