Ukulele players from around the world will be coming to Hawaii to participate in an ukulele ensemble led by Jake. Go For Da Record...Hana Hou! will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, HI. They will assemble the greatest possible number of ukulele players in a 2nd attempt to break a Guinness World Record.

The Seventh Annual Taste of Marukai
, a Charity Event hosted by Marukai Wholesale Mart, will support the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii, the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce, the Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Hawaii United Okinawa Association. The Taste of Marukai has grown into one of Marukai’s largest events with more than 900 attendees last year, and has allowed Marukai to donate $165,000 over the last six years to these organizations that preserve and extend the Japanese culture in Hawaii. The Don Quijote Professional Soccer Clinic, presented by Kraft Foods, will be held on Feb. 21 at Aloha Stadium, for soccer players ages 5-14. Participants are asked to enter through Gate 4, which will open at 4:30 p.m. Participants will be able to partake in soccer interactive learning stations, which will be manned by US and Foreign National Licensed coaches. There will also be professionals from the four participating Hawaiian Island Invitational teams teaching the fundamentals of the game, and will have inflatable soccer fields and speed shot power testing.
